We are thrilled to announce that Gielle, a leader in the fire protection sector and known worldwide for its cutting-edge services and products, has been awarded an important contract for the fire protection of the oil wells of the Zubair field in Iraq.
Gielle CEO, Comm. Luigi Galantucci said: ”We are particularly proud and happy with this contract, coveted by many in our sector, and we are proud to represent Italy in Iraq. We will work with the passion and professionalism that have always distinguished us in almost 60 years of activity”. ”The protection and fire protection of the Iraqi oil wells” – added Comm. Galantucci – ”certainly represent a big challenge for us at Gielle. Protecting and safeguarding the site and those who work there will certainly be a difficult task, but when professionalism and passion are added to the work, every challenge is overcome.”
The Zubair oil field is an oil field located in southern Iraq, west of Basra. It is one of the largest deposits in the world and was discovered in 1949. It is located in the places south of ancient Mesopotamia where the famous Tigris and Euphrates rivers join. The temperature in the summer months reaches 52° Celsius. Since 2009, the development of the field has been managed by a multinational consortium. ”It is a complex activity,” -concludes Comm. Galantucci- ”for which we will use innovative solutions never installed before, the result of very severe tests, trials and analyses lasting months, for which all our human capital has been committed. This means ensuring the functioning of the entire system even in the event of external events, such as an earthquake or a terrorist attack.”
Gielle has acquired, among others, the order for fire protection of the entire fleet of Ethiopian Airlines aircraft, the largest African carrier in terms of number of passengers transported.
