- Need appropriate and
approved testing site. Usually conducted at a fire training
facility.
- Equipment. A fire pumper
truck that holds 500 gallons of water is adequate.
- Man power is needed to
operate pumper and hose.
- Materials to burn for an
effective demonstration should include:
a table is needed to conduct
initial table top demonstration
-- 1-2
cars
-- 15-20
tires
-- 10-20 wooden
pallets
-- 1 old sofa or
chair (to show protection capability)
-- diesel fuel & gasoline are also
needed.
- (4) 2-1/2 gallon water
pressurized extinguishing units
- 2 airline tickets, hotel
accommodations and transportation for FFW employees conducting demo ( if
demo is not within driving distance.)
- Date of test must be
scheduled in advance.
